Lost in Despair

Written by: Brogon Moonaires
Date: Saturday, August 7th, 2004
Addressed to: Everyone

utterly alone I sit in the shadows
wrapped in its liquid embrace
cold waves of disappointment wash over me

the muddy water isnt so bad
lying in the gutter, the people pass me
never give second glance to the hapless mass of decay

somber solitude within the fortress of dispair
locked away in a tower without a key

lost in a whirlwind of whimsical chaos
the lone rider upon the hill
ready to charge the masses

no one can hear the voiceless screaming
the pain too much to endure
alone I sit and watch life pass me by.

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Bellum, in the year 440 AD.
