Darkest hour that rules the night
Erases the present from my sight
As my heart feels wrenched from my breast
While the dagger still digs in cruel behest

Where once smiles played along these lips
Now only silence stands in introspect
Where once dawn lit earthen eyes
Now lies quiet inside

Seated upon the bench of nature's watch
Where time sheds not her gown of minutes saught
And watching the world pass on by
Where once there were friends, now lay lies

Though, peace still prevails
Beneath this moonlit veil
I lay undaunted and defeated still
With only silence as my shield

Where once I could feel the stir of forest
Now lay emptiness in prevailent chorus
Not in this world, where the ethical man speaks
Only to be damned by those who's hearts cruelty seeks

Words had fought the injustice true
And tenfold years have seen it through
But naught was triumphant, not then nor now
As the Aryana caresses my tired brow

Take from me more, it seems to never stop
Burden by travesties and lies you've forgot
More they come, still by the day
Until all those near believe all that you say

Though, peace still prevails
Beneath this moonlit veil
I lay undaunted but defeated still
With only truth as my home, my shield.

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Letum, in the year 445 AD.
