A winter's frost, all I know ..
That icy composure, all I can show.
I've heard rumors, other seasons are real,
But the warmth of Spring, I just can't feel.

As I hunt though, my mind is unclear,
Unsettling wishes, for you to be near.
A weakness develops, I can't seem to hate,
And I find myself wondering, of the motives of fate.

What can a slave know of compassion?
Could an act of caring bring such a reaction?
If the wolf caught the rabbit, what would he say?
If I told you how I felt, would it be okay?

Chance, for opportunity at hand ..
A chance for you to understand.
These words that fill my mind, when I think of you,
The songs I sing, all I wish to do.

Perhaps this is Spring, or just my own dellusion..
Into my life though, you've made an intrusion.
And no longer, do I wish to struggle ..
... I refuse to say huggle.
