Ramblins of an Old Man

Written by: Larkin Ruadh
Date: Saturday, March 12th, 2005
Addressed to: Sir Brogon Elarien

There once was an old man...
His many parts already worn with age..
His gait old and crippled
There once was an old man..
The realms laughed and pointed..
Women shivered in disgust at his passing..
Yet, the old man thought he was spry.
He joined a group of Brothers..
hoping to retain his youth..
They took him in, called him brother.
But like old dogs, he couldn't learn new tricks.
Brotherhood was beyond him..

There once was an old man, now he will live in fear.
Arrows sold, gone, yet he still will age.
He still won't learn new tricks.
Betraying all in his path..
With a fierceness, the brothers stuck together.
With a fierceness, the old man died..
Never understanding, beyond his grasp.

Once was an old man, years wearing on him.
Yet the Brothers grow stronger..
Yes, this will be the path of the man
that insults women..
Dying to some failed belief..

Yes, I am young, but I will grow
and I will not forget the old man
Yes, I will not forget..
Insults to my Merri...
Old man that will grow older and crippled.
I may die.. die many times..
But I will not forget..

Onward to 2021
