Silent Sorrow

The time of the blooming flower,
All plans gone sour.
Feelings dire,
Solo heart's fire,
From birth to funeral pyre.

The thing I don't have,
Day gloom and drab.
Bring me a quiet death,
Rob me of my last breath.
My silent soul, grab.

I know I'm not enough,
A figment of the reaper's bluff.
Sunrise to sunset,
In my mind nothing yet.
During my dying hour not so tough.

Buried at dawn,
All feeling gone.
Things I cannot understand,
Even at your soft demand.

All this and more I feel,
Yet I dare not appeal.
Silently I shake and scream,
Wishing this was all a dream.

I know not how to express,
The thing that has made me less.
Never allowed soothing rest,
All the way I've tried my best.
In my mind, fear's nest.

Trying to forget the past,
All my life, gone so fast.
This day I know is my last,
THe future decided, dice cast.

Nothing is left for me,
There is no future I can see.
I wish I could die,
With a final glimpse of sky.

To the place I come from,
A once mighty kingdom.
Send back my remains,
To the place my heart contains.

Nowhere left for me to go,
My life's time ebb and flow.
Not a place to run,
The time for hiding done.
Baring all for you to know,
I recite my silent sorrow.

I hope you enjoyed it!

However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
