As I Walk

Written by: Seraphic Pride, Kul

As I walk, I hear, I see, I learn.
I hear the unspoken words that are written on your face.
I see your convictions and your fears, your hopes and dreams.
I learn from you when you do not teach.
As I walk, I hear, I see, I learn.

As I run, I forget, I fail, I fall.
I forget where you are and lose touch.
I fail to see the beauty within you.
I fall into the trap of weariness and discouragement.
As I run, I forget, I fail, I fall.

As I fly, I overlook, I spy, I gossip.
I overlook my own faults and only see yours.
I spy on matters that are not my concern.
I gossip about you to make myself look better.
As I fly, I overlook, I spy, I gossip.

As I sit, I fear, I tire, I die.
I fear that which has not come to pass.
I tire of life and of others.
I die before I am dead.
As I sit, I fear, I tire, I die.

So as I walk, I will live, I will love, I will understand.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Letum, in the year 465 AD.
