Away Home

Come home soon, safely led,
So we can rest our weary heads,
We have waited for your marked return,
Your laughing voice and cheeky grin
What a joy to hear you laugh again.

To think such things arose from blooms,
ribbons, pink and pretty poems,
What a laugh you must have had,
For you are just that sort of joyful lad.
Come back soon and tell your tales,
I look forward to the fun we once had.
I wish you well,
In sincerest love,

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Ferinus, in the year 468 AD.
