Broken Rose

The silent curves and crushing ends
The relentless swerves and breaking bends

The need to touch and the responsive pain,
like the warmth of the sun, and the serenity of the rain

Taken for granted, its worth unseen
till its gone, and life isn't what it seems
nothing smells sweet, beauty has no name
love and romance falls dead, your heart bursts into flames
all feeling is gone, only desperation clings
misery is your reality, and the sorrow it brings
you search deep for a shred of happiness, your soul returns in shame
you cry out for the familiar heat of the sun, or the soothing rinse of
the rain...
...cry out in pain, lament in your fate no one knows

Burn in silence - Blessed and Cursed as the perfectly broken rose.

-Sol

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Letum, in the year 495 AD.
