Chomper

Teeny, tiny, cute and sharp-toothed
Cold, but warm-hearted towards your Momma
Delicate tail and mischeviousness loosed

Innocent and playful, but wasn't aware
Of the shadowy figure of a leering girl
Waiting to pounce at you there

As she withdrew her huge, hulking sword
You awaited my arrival, your famous smile given at the thought
You were pinned, your heart pounded in your ears and roared

She slew you probably, in all but five ticks
Your innocence betraying you...as you've never bitten anyone or tried
As she withdrew the breath from you in one easy lick

I'm sorry I wasn't there for you
My love apparently wasn't strong enough
So I'll give these words, in loving memory too

And hopefully one day,
Those who slay innocent baby animals
For their recklessness will pay

For Chomper, I miss you already.

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Ferinus, in the year 496 AD.
