Deluge

Caught in the sky torn current,
Slipped and felled through the boughs by green pallets of smoothness
Such friends and foes catch and fall all around
Each upon the other in a torrent down
The heavens shatter with sound
The silent monoliths shuddering with passing breath
To tip and shake such vessels clung to
Succession of hands to catch each,
Fused together in the mob
Sounds lost amidst the wash of all
Drowned to only drown another with each lost footing
Till finally with forced release
The ground is met, embraced, absorbed.

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Vita, in the year 503 AD.
