Tides

Written by: Ysabel Kulmyrric

Rolled tide to carry away needed breath
Where laughter splashed amidst sinking sands
Nourishing the life awaiting such heightened flow
Hesitation from such disasters suffered -
Sown beneath grains awaiting life once more

Perhaps rhythmic and predictable,
Rolling are the tides
Only to carry away once more such life
The unforgiving sun makes harsh the memories
---of the absence of the tide once more.

Dry eyes and hands press closed
Replications and reactions of each other,
Bereft satisfaction of the rolling waters gone,
Leaving repetitious memories.

Secluded and reclusive,
The glass within the sand,
Within closed hands, guarded memories.
No moisture for the lies,
With such hasty broken ties,
Of the beaded, broken eyes across the sand.

Droop to feel the soils,
Dry and left behind
---from the tides, taken back to sea
But blossomed winds begin to blow,
Deep seated thoughts swayed again,
To find free within, a rhythm all her own.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Vita, in the year 503 AD.
