The Seasons

Spring has come again
Leaving rain upon my cheeks as
Icicles melt, and winter fades
Creating rivers of tears in the grass.

Spring soon fades to summer sweet
Lovers take their place upon the knoll
Casting glances to others, hearts a'flutter
Hoping the sun will keep them warm.

Then comes autumn, and change is abound
As leaves fall silently down to the ground
Creating whirlwinds of colours, browns and reds
Lonely hearts take solace, for winter is nigh.

The winter winds will save you
Blowing away the sadness with fierce
Find comfort in the cold snow now,
For soon Spring will melt away your ice.

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Naturalis, in the year 503 AD.
