Door Inside

Written by: Marksman Jorachim Agarwaen

Addressed to: Everyone

Oh, you last so long against the wind.
It's funny how time bids us farewell.
Yet when I turn to you to smile,
Perhaps to sit and chat a while,
All I find is a closed door.

Perhaps the wind came rustling by,
And I hadnt had the chance to notice.
But oh, I was most surprised,
To feel the banishment surmised,
To feel the hate behind the door.

Oh, my friend, what time has come,
Though I forget I'm a friend no more,
I understand the winds do blow,
I understand more than you possibly know,
I've seen that side of the door.

You greet me with sticks and stone,
You smile and crush my lungs,
With malice you rain yourself upon me,
With contempt you feed your fire on me,
From behind that solid door.

Yet stand I do amidst the waste,
You got the fire you wished to taste,
Still you scream at all the trees,
You shout out upon your knees,
Indeed, there is no door.

I don't wait for the wind to come now,
I have seen what it does to your door now,
And I'm waiting like a statue over marble mountaintops,
Standing stark over the marble mountaintops,
For I dont need that door.

I wait for another now, a new sun,
Not your false star of hope in the way,
And as it rains ice upon your steel walls,
As it rains pain upon your steel walls,
I wait and watch, for you locked that door.

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Naturalis, in the year 534 AD.

Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
