And now I fake another smile
As I walk another extra mile
A mile walked with pain and bitterness
A walk of sacrifice, tears, and sadness

Must things always be this way
That people hurt you with what they say
That in a crowd you'd stay at the back
And contemplate on the things you so lack

A journey's longer when there's no one there
You can't ask others since they dont care
They say I have friends a plenty
Why then do I feel so empty

A journey alone is never sure
When the wounds inside don't have a cure
If only I'd avenge the wrongs they've done
I'd be shattered into pieces long gone

A walk alone could be so boring
A walk alone could be so depressing
It makes you think if good times last
If the present and future is as good as the past

I do not know if others see
That in this walk, I have only me
But walk on I must whether slow or fast
And try to be strong and ever steadfast

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Halitus, in the year 543 AD.
