I Watched A Tree

Written by: Storm Child Tredian
Date: Sunday, June 21st, 2009
Addressed to: Everyone

I watched a tree since it was young
A happy habit it was
I planted it and watered it
And it told me some tales of time

Everyday I visited it
Though stormy it may be
When the wind bends it, I cover it
Sick though I may be

She taught me lots of things untold
She taught me to be wise
She taught me how to say some things
That words cannot define

And I grew old, and she grew tall
And big, a big oak tree
I care for her, and she for me
My very big oak tree

And though she knew what would be next
She never begged them to stop
And next time I came, I cried and I cried
A stump was left of my tree

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Solis, in the year 582 AD.
