"Mimic"

The mimic follows every night
As I hold my tongue,
The mimic wraps around me tight
And reminds me what has been done.

The mimic cries, "I've seen this before,
Your dreams, dear friend, are new,
So don't degress when sleepiness
Makes you a mimic too."

"The People"

I lay rest the choices I gave,
Turn back on the people I saved,

Watch the people run in fear,
Remember the words I wanted to hear.

The lectures told through many lies,
A story remains as the people die,
But I dismiss my part in this,

I resist I resist I resist!

Understand and listen well,
Forget the order and what they tell,

Let go of beliefs and respectful thoughts,
Bring on the woes and sacrifices you're taught.

They die and die without a single word.
They cry and cry without being heard.
They lie and lie about what was said.
They fight and fight 'till someone's dead.

"Rain"

It's me,
Standing in the rain,
Watching pleasant rain drops
Hurry towards me.
Hold me 'till I'm as frozen as you,
Befriend smiles and joyful-eyes too,
Let me know,
Show me unknown reflections on the ground.
A deafening sound
Plays a single note in repetition.
Hide the sun behind clouds written
Across a canvas I can't reach.
Just let me
Stand in the rain,
As pleasant rain drops
Cover what's left of me.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Artificium, in the year 587 AD.

However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
