"Handed Down"

It seems to me
You'd rather be
Brutally handled
With your hair in shambles
Or maybe just slapped
Because you don't give a crap
About being lovely.

So take your abuse
Don't give an excuse
To your bruised eye
Or why you cry
And just hand yourself down
Because you don't care how
You hurt your body.

Chase your romance
Pretend to dance
Upon the weakened stage
Because you're afraid.

Afraid to love
Told to hate
Apathy follows
And just contemplate
The want to hide
The want to lie
And peace begins
When you finally die

"In my dreams"

In my dreams, I devour my hate,
Let go of passion, and accept my fate.

Sometimes, I digest their fallen bodies
left on the ground and my senses rob me.

In my dreams, nightmares breed,
Even when I wake I shake without need.

Perhaps, when I see the solemn night,
they'll bleed from the moon and not answer my plight.

In my dreams, people lie,
As they tear apart their mouths and fester suicide.

Somehow, they'll eventually cease,
When one night passes and rids this catastrophe.

In my dreams, I wait patiently and smile,
Hoping for a hand to save me for a while.

In my dreams, I no longer try.
For when you've no head left, there is nothing to hide.

"Yesterday's Dream"

Another dream becomes a story,
One with odd things to say,
What would seem to be annoying
Tells me more than yesterday,

Last night I dreamed to discover
The lover I once knew,
It became askew and boring
Once I saw you,
Once I crept away,
It became disarray and confusing
The love I had decayed
The day you chose who you were losing.

So this dream loses it's story
As I decide not to stay,
Instead I chose to be ignoring
What I had learned from yesterday.
