I find it hard to choose a word,
To express what it is I feel for you,
Unable to convey in normal terms,
Something extraordinary between you and I.

Not wanting to settle for second best,
A word should exist for this splendour,
For not even perfect could do it justice,
Every word thought cannot amount.

What we share in friendship,
What we feel beyond,
Sets us apart in many ways,
Being so unique with little words to say.

I want all the lands beyond us,
And the one we call home,
To know the joy of love,
As we share each day.

But alas the words escape us,
To let them know what we truly feel,
To share amongst the secrets,
And live our lives in joy.
