A deep and woeful sadness overcomes me,
Sucking up all the light in my life,
Pain stabbing at my heart,
Just to say goodbye.

Joy springing in my step,
A smile pressed upon my face,
Fluttering in my heart,
Whever you come around.

Slumping over,
Sighing miserably,
Moping around,
Crumbling to pieces without you.

Skipping around you,
Giggling at your silliness,
Embracing you tight,
Whole once more with you near.

Our love blossomed,
Further than we thought,
My heart continues to beat,
And my soul stays for you.
