Watching it grow,
From a distance I wait,
Blooming before me,
I can't anticipate.

Waiting for a moment,
When it shines so bright,
It's time in the spotlight,
When it's arms reach out.

Eager to see it's beauty,
A reward for patience,
The tiny baby bud,
Sprouting to a beautiful rose.

Gazing at it's sapphire petals,
I can't help but think of you,
A gift I sought for,
And gave as my love.
