Alorek's Fables

The tiger long since tired of bantering with monkey's and their ilk had
settled down for a nap to wash away the world's woes. She had both ate
her fill of them, and was weary of the constant mischievousness they
seemed to be about constantly. When she was not eating them, she was
constantly on guard against their pranks and other nuisances.

Meanwhile, the monkeys had quite the catastrophe on their hands and were
quite beside themselves. It seems that Simba, the great elephant in an
effort to sharpen her tusks as elephants are prone to do. Began to do
such on the monkey's lovely banana tree, and by its actions threatened
to upset the delicate balance of life found there. The monkeys pleaded
and argued with the elephant to no avail. The elephant believing that
monkey's are foolish and beneath contempt, ignored their pleas. Instead
the elephant continued on its path until as if the hand of fate
intervened, toppled the banana tree over. This one act it seems had
doomed the entire monkey population to utter starvation.

One particular monkey, a fine upstanding chap we will call Parker,
loudly proclaimed his outrage and firmly set about leading his fellows
against the elephant menace. Many words of insult were directed at the
elephant, using words to eloquently point out Simba's many faults and
establish monkey dominance through words. Many other animals took
offense at this perceived attempt to tease and mock all non-monkeys.

The tiger groggily woke up to the sudden commotion of the monkeys
chasing the elephant about. Overhearing some of their insults towards
all non-monkeys, and since she was predisposed towards an opinion of
their mischievous and ill-directed ways. Promptly took offense and
proceeded to join the fray, leaping to her feet in a single bound she
took to the chase. Slashing to and fro, killing and maiming many monkeys
in the process.

The elephant meanwhile was charging about attempting to flee from the
terrible monkeys. In the confusion and chaos that in sued, she did not
even see the tiger leaping about and promptly stepped on her. Death it
seems comes to us all in the end, and this was the mighty tigers
downfall. Our scene shifts, to one of a calm light shining down upon a
clearing where a tigers body rests. The monkeys, having chased the
elephant off and found another source of bananas, went about their daily
business.

Moral-It is dangerous to jump to your own conclusions, best to see all
the angles and study before making assumptions and leaping in, or, Do
not mess with a monkey's banana

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Artificium, in the year 436 AD.

However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…
