Greetings all,

Several months back, following up on a rumor that had been circulating
amongst the guards, a small group of Celidon citizens unearthed a tunnel
beneath the area known as Nature's Resurgence. The passage, which opened
up into a series of underground caverns, brought the explorers out of
the Phoenix Crest peak, and into the wilds that surround her. Spanning
across the Waelin river and into the Eastern Celidon, the discovered
lands held tell-tale signs of ancient struggles between the woodland
elves and invading orcish hordes.

Unable to access the grounds from any point except within the Council,
their borders concealed over the years by either intent or fate, the
leadership pondered upon the significance of the findings and what they
meant for the future of the Council. After much deliberation, it was
decided the fields would serve as a living memorial, battlegrounds upon
which the strong of mind and heart could hone their skills in
preparation for any future attacks by the hordes of the Nolmines, guided
by the spirits of heroes made and lost upon the soil so many years ago.
To preserve the sanctity of the Nature's Resurgence, the tunnel was
sealed up and council engineers were tasked with excavation to find any
possible connecting passages within the vast caverns. After a tireless
search, they were successful, and the Battlegrounds were born. They may
be found straight up and east from the entrance to the Crest, and should
be operational within the month.

As Minister of Development, I am pleased to announce these events on
behalf of the Lady Asaka, Matron of Celidon, the Emeris and his
advisers. The other Ministerial offices will follow with any policies
pertaining to the arena that may be of importance to combatants.
