My sisters and I, as well as quite a few uninvolved parties judging from
the messages I have received, find this situation and the blind
aggression exhibited by Harker and a couple of his brothers baffling.

We have a prisoner, yes. He is a rapist. He admits this freely. Yet, he
has been treated well. He is fed, cared for, and the only indignity he
suffers is not being free to return to whatever his former life was.

Why do we keep him? Because he shows no remorse. If we could trust he
would remain in Dis if we ended his life, we would do so. If we could
trust he would not find some other way of inflicting his sickness upon
innocenet females, we would castrate him and let him go. If he showed
some remorse, some understanding of the wrong he did, we would be more
inclined to consider the possibility of eventual rehabilitation and
release. Yet, none of these things can be assured and thus we do what we
must to uphold our duties and keep him away from unsuspecting females.

Enter the Wardens. Harker demands that I release this prisoner even
though I informed him he was indeed a rapist and showed no inclination
to stop being a rapist. I refused. Within a minute, he had hunted down
an eighteen year old Ilaferi and killed her. I am unsure what was hoped
to be accomplished with such aggression.

First he claims this man is a Warden. Then he claims he doesn't know if
the man is a Warden or not and indeed he has no reason to suspect he is,
but we should release him to his care anyway on the off chance that he
is. Judging from the behavior thus far of a select few Wardens, we have
absolutely no reason to agree to these demands signed in the blood of
our young.

We do not know if the rapist is a Warden or not. We have no way of
determining this. What we know is he is a danger to females and this is
unacceptable. You can take that as you will.

We will not be pursuing mindless aggression against the Wardens as a
whole. Those who are attacking us simply because they can, we will
defend against. Yet the young men of the Wardens can hunt and carry on
their lives without looking over their shoulder for a murderous Ilaferi
looking for any reason to kill him.

We are a young guild, one which does not seek to become warmongers. Our
time for proving we are strong, is here, and we will prove it not on the
fields of battle, but in that of our honour. If any Warden approaches
any of our leaders with a reasonable attitude, they will be listened to,
and answered to the best of our abilities. We are not brutes, we are
Ilaferi.
