Antioch. Oh, and Harker

As we can see, there are those in Antioch who are more than willing to
escalate any potentially volitile situations. And yes, that involves ALL
of Antioch, because as I can attest from living there, the city usually
supports it's more combative of citizens.

Antioch is a den of vipers. Sitting inside their hole they strike out at
anyone who seems most vulnerable at the moment, and yet when attacked,
they seem to forget that they hate everyone outside of their walls, and
immediately form alliances with those they seek to destroy under normal
circumstances.
And please, spare me your excuses and justifications, I have heard them
all, and they are less than accurate at best.

It simply boggles my mind that this city that believes magick to be the
single most deadly and destructive force in all of Aetherius can speak
of the evils of magick and it's users from within it's own walls, and
then wander over to Kinsarmar to hunt in it's sewers, talk with they're
friends and things of that nature. It seems to me that if this magick
was that horrible, you would try to stay away from the city DEDICATED TO
IT! It comes down to magick users are bad unless Antioch needs them, or
wants to hunt, and it is that hypocricy that led me to leave the city
years ago.

I find it fascinating that citizens of Antioch can even walk into
Kinsarmar without a grimace upon their face. For those of you who have
not been privy to Antioch's foolish beliefs, magick, in their mind, will
destroy our world, and should be stopped at all costs. Magick users, and
those who dwell with them, associate with them, or are the children of
them are "souless husks" as I believe our dear friend Inyvon reffered to
them. You will hear people deny this, but I can assure you, it is the
truth, they deny it only when it suits them. I was once one of them, but
I realized the folly of that mindset and changed it, oh that all of
Antioch would do the same.

It is time that the rest of Aetherius wake up. Stavenn is not the only
"evil empire" in this world of ours. Antioch's zealous hatred of things
they do not understand has led it to be one as well, and given the
chance, they would rid the world not only of Stavenn, but of Kinsarmar
and likely Ithiqua as well, as it allows the use of necromancy. Do not
be fooled by their pius public face, there is a heart of hatred and
malice beating within the desert, and it would be wise for those who are
spoken of as evil from within those walls to dissassociate themselves
completely from the curse of the desert.

Antioch, simply stated, is a city that has been wallowing in fear for
decades. Fear of the magick that they do not understand, the magick that
their Gods tell them is wicked. This fear has festered into the hatred,
malice and bitterness than now dwells there.

I ask you now, who is the one with the "taint"?

Now, I am sure there will be responses from some within the viper's
nest, and it will most likely be those same ones who tried to justify
this mentality or deny it's existence while I was there. But nothing has
changed, and nothing will. Antioch is quite content with itself, and
despite their attempts to mask their inner demons, not all of us are
fooled.

Oh, and just as a side note to Harker....
I stand guilty of the generosity you accused me of, forgive me, but be
assured, it will not come neigh your door again soon.

2021 and Beyond

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
