Ah, how easily the old are disturbed by the observations of the young.
However, Song, I must compliment you - you seem to be one of the more
intelligent denizens of Antioch, based off the other's reactions. Miss
Pae'Ganis seems to think I will 'pay' for insulting her - an amusing
thought, considering how I was training in the Shaahri desert, right
outside Antioch's walls, at the time of her post.
Other Antiochans seem to have similiarly undeveloped brains - Merrowen
Grey, for example, sent me this entertaining message;
"You really shouldn't post any more, everything you say is a joke,
especially when you are honoursed, you should leave posting to the more
compitent denizens of the land."
Now, apart from showing an inability to end sentances, conjugate, or
spell, it shows that Ms. Grey has a very limited view of the world. Age
is not a determinant of knowledge. As my title proclaims, I am a
Sa'Corus, a younger Noctusari who has passed the Ritus Purgans, the Rite
of Cleansing, and the Ritus Skord, the Rite of Knowledge. This means I
have spent the last two years of my life studying the world, it's
history, and it's ways. I doubt this much can be said for Ms. Grey;
obviously she does not even have the semblance of an education, if that
is an example of her grammar.
Now, as to the history of the leaders of Antioch, I went back and
reviewed it, just to be sure I wasn't missing something. Believe it or
not, you, I, and Trey are all incorrect. However, the truth provides an
even less flattering view of Antioch.
The founders of Antioch were pacifists, not magick-haters. They had
grown to object to Stavenn's agressive stance and tried to stop it.
However, they were in the minority and fled when the government began to
ignore them. In fact, as I said before, Antioch did not outlaw magick
until the Demon Hordes swept across the land for the first time. They
saw the power Magick was and were afraid.
It is truly ironic that a city founded by pacifists has grown to be a
refuge for the most violent and bloodthirsty creatures on Aetherius.
Cander and Andraste are just two disgusting examples of this breed you
harbor behind your walls.
As to Ms. Pae'ganis, you wondered when and where I had heard you
insulting magick-users - well, I hardly need to recall. I had just
started listening to the market channel when, lo and behold, you came on
the channel with this flattering request:
"Seeking a brain for Juganothion. He is in dire need."
Now, now, Ms. Pae'ganis, we needn't be acting like little children. In
fact, it is curious that Ms. Grey pokes at me for merely answering one
of my fellows while being young when her fellows engage in even more
childish activity.
