Greetings,
Ok, Sorin made a mistake in his methods of finding Raife's beliefs. Ok,
Raife was a dedicated member of Kinsarmar and the Mages. Ok, it's pretty
obvious that most of Kinsarmar sides with Raife. Ok... this is a topic
from a LONG time ago.
Raife lost his position years ago for controversial reasons, and this
whole debate happened years ago. Honestly, I don't care about the whole
Sorin/Raife debate anymore, cause if I did, I might as well still be
worrying about those demon gates that were so rampant. No, This is about
Raife's recent actions of secretly aiding a Lich and the Horde against a
people that he once served and led.
If Raife had come forward and said later on, "I helped the Lich because
(reason that he has yet to state), and I'm really sorry.", I'm sure most
people would have said, "What the hell were you thinking??? Oh well, as
long as you're not serving him anymore, maybe you can help us stop him.
Tell us what he's up to and everything you know about him."
But no, Raife never apologized, he never tried to help, and he kept his
secret even during the final confrontation against Thalec (The Lich).
Why, if it wasn't for Loxley, he'd still have his secret, and we'd still
be wondering who it was that broke into the Mage Guildhall and stole
from us. He knew that Thalec was planning something against the Mages,
he openly stole from his former guild, AND the guild of his daughter,
and never came forward even though (from what I can gather from Loxley's
post) he knew that his master was the source of Loxley's ailment. This
is why I can't help but agree with Sorin when he says he tried to warn
us.
Perhaps Raife will someday take the time to apologize to Kinsarmar, the
Mages, and the entire continent for serving the Horde. Perhaps he will
tell us why he did it, and perhaps we'll see that there was some wisdom
in his choice. He should have done that right after everyone found out.
Until then, I'm just going to bring my beliefs from what I know on this
matter, because so far his supporters can only defend him on a problem
that's been dead for quite some time.
