I bring glad tidings from the Royal Court of El'Jazira and greetings to
you all. As the murderous culprit Horace was finally brought to justice,
the last pages honouring my late father Abd el'Salam have been completed
and will be stored in the eternal halls of memory and homage.

As this last chapter is completed, so begins the writing of a new one,
as I graciously accept the title and responsibility of Sheik. I
publically and congenially declare that those wishing to speak with me
concerning matters of importance should first approach my Aide, Jardon.
He will be accepting letters on my behalf so that I may study them and
reply to them as I am able.

I hereby declare, as is my power and duty as protector and Prince of
El'Jazira, that no shrine may be placed within El'Jazira without my
direct permission. Six months from today, all shrines that have not been
removed by the members of those religions shall be removed by my own
guards. Those who wish to petition me for the privilege of placing a
shrine in El'Jazira may of course, apply by letter and give it to my
Aide, Jardon. I will review all requests, I assure you.

The last matter to which I will direct you, is that those who make
themselves a nusiance or a danger to my beloved village El'Jazira while
within our gate, will find themselves no longer welcome. The official
laws pertaining to outsiders will be placed just outside of our gate so
that all may know and be aware.

May the great people of El'Jazira stand strong for many more generations
to come, and may their enemies perish as a drop of water upon the heated
sands.
