Harvesting in Ithaqua

Greetings Aetherius!

This pertains to a minor change in Ithaquan policy. I apologize for
boring those of you to whom it does not apply.

As per Ithaquan Referendum 140705, the following harvesting policy is in
effect within the lands overseen by Ithaqua Village. "Overharvest" shall
be defined as "Leaving fewer than thirty of any plant in any area." The
people of Ithaqua have spent twenty years pouring sweat, and blood, and
tears into the soil of our forest, to warm her blood, to bring forth
food from the harsh terrain. It is the wish of the Ithaquan people, by a
vast majority, that our lands be harvested gently, that the delicate
balance we have struck with the soil not be disturbed. This applies to
Ithaqua Forest and the Gyanis Snowfields to the West of the forest.
Ithaqua village is off limits to harvesters who are not of the village.

Note: It can be difficult to determine whether you are in the village or
the forest by merely surveying. I urge you to notice whether you are
standing in a forest or on a catwalk or some sort of structure. If you
are walking on chain lined catwalks around a series of huts hung in the
trees, you are in the village.

On the first offense of overharvest, the harvester will be referred to
their superiors for action, which of course shall be the province of
their guild or superiors to decide. On the second such offense, Ithaqua
will discuss matters with the individual directly.

At this time, this change does not affect herb price lists, and
propriety in such matters is expected of all herbalists who sell within
Ithaquan borders. Thank you for your time, and again, I apologize if
this post does not apply to you.

In the pines,
Harker

However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…
