Thank you, Kinsarmar. After slaying Tondalar within your gates, I was
enemied, and rightly so, for breaking the laws of the city. Never mind
that Tondalar was insulting and inflammatory whilst hiding within the
walls. Far be it from Kinsarmar to dare presume to order someone out for
the simple crime of hiding behind the skirts of your mages.

I appealed my sentence, calmly and professionally, to Milanthor. I told
him I would wait for his word, and abide by the decision of the Ereges.
Not three days later, my old friend Drakenta unenemied me, assuring me
that the matter was resolved. I asked him specifically about it, stating
my concerns that I not be unenemied inappropriately. He assured me all
was well.

Imagine my surprise to find myself under attack when I returned to
Aetherius within the Kinsarmarian Archives. And a gracious message from
the Duke, explaining that he'd look into it. Another gracious message
from lady Laia, apologizing for the inconvenience.

So I was murdered within Kinsarmar's walls, where I had been welcome
just a month before. Where is the enemy status for -my- murderer?

I have been a friend to Kinsarmar, even while enemied. Look to your
coffers, look to the Bardic guild shop. Look to the defense I have
offered your Canon when the laws and "rules" of Kinsarmar are mocked. I
have never been a fellow to respond to an enemying with acts of
violence. But if this is the manner in which Kinsarmar is governed,
perhaps it is time I show them what an enemy is.

I look forward to a peaceful resolution of this. As it stands, Kinsarmar
has made it clear they prefer me enemied. I would prefer not to be. I
will walk the streets of Kinsarmar again, in two years, or in five, or
tomorrow. Not even Kinsarmar can agree which.
