With all due respect, Lady Silken, to both you and your Lady, I wish to
ask something that has entered my mind.

If magicks by the mortal hand are not powerful enough to banish a god
and if magick is so disdainful in Their sight, why do They allow magick
to stay? Surely They could easily remove the ability for magick to be
used at all.

While there are those that would argue if magick is tainted or not,
history has shown us that it is beneficial and useful and a gift from
the Gods. I agree that some have abused it and twisted its power to
their will and I personally frown upon this. But to use it properly and
for the right reasons, to have the freedom to make this choice, is
something the Gods have granted us the right to do.

I do not claim to be all knowing by any means. I go by what history has
shown us and by what my own experience and soul searching has revealed
to me. Magick itself is not tainted nor is it a blemish on the face of
Those who gifted them to us. Magick only becomes tainted if used and
manipulated by one who is tainted. But, only blessings will come if one
uses their gifts that they are graced with for the good purpose they can
be used for.

I suppose that in itself would cause stir of what defines good and evil,
illwill and grace but I will not argue that for that is for each person
to find out for themself. Not mine to dictate.

I personally find myself warmed by the teachings of your Lady. I find
them good and wholesome. I follow Lord Janus explicitly for He allows me
the freedom to follow my own path but this does not mean I do not
respect other Divine and Their teachings. I even seek to learn more
about Them so I may share my knowledge with others. I leave you to my
question.
