Greetings everyone,

My name is Areya Ryvoan Moonaires and I have never felt the need to all
of Aetherius, but recent events have given me the need to speak to you
all. By now, I'm sure we've all heard of the decision made by our
leaders this month. I'm also sure the decision has caused rifts in most
id not all of the cities and councils. I will admit, I was quite angry
and still am at the price that was pledged. That is for another time,
however.

I'm feeling more and more that we have been fooled. I cannot say if I
feel that we were tricked into paying a price bigger than expected, or
if we were tricked into thinking something was a solution when it is
not. I don't know how many are aware of this, but the vile plan has
already been carried out. The Tree is dying, the dryad might already be
dead. Although I know a lot of us would rather die ourselves than
sacrifice that innocent one, we were informed after the decision was
made that this would be the price.

As I have stated before, it seems the price is much bigger than
previously thought. The dying tree is decaying the area around it.
Already a good portion of Southeastern Khandava has suffered the
affects. The decay is harming people who are exposed to it, and the
plant life is dying off. We don't know how long it will take the tree to
die, or even if that will halt the spread of the decay.

I'm asking for your help, please help us find a way to stop the Blight.
I fear what will happen when the tree dies. I fear it will be much worse
than the decay we are seeing now.

At the beginning of this month, we had no way to stop the beasts. We
were given a solution by a Goddess. Who's to say there isn't another God
or Goddess with a solution? Just because we don't see any other choice
now, doesn't mean there wont be one later. I'm sure there will be
another way to stop the beasts.
