Conditional Surrender of Kinsarmar

Written by: Martyn Faris
Date: Saturday, June 4th, 2005
Addressed to: Duchess Wren Kith'Vahni, Lady of the Dragoons

My Lady Duchess,

I thank you for your quick response as well as to Lord Juran of the
Idras who gave his voice. Both your opinions on the matter are quite
valid. I have seen great bravery in the defenders of Kinsarmar who seek
nothing more than to defend their home. I have also seen intelligent and
tactful raids upon Stavenn, always with the help of allies that do not
even claim citizenship. However their intentions to aide you are no less
honourable than your own. However I must ask again that you surrender
Kinsarmar to the terms dictated in the document I have sent you. These
raids will continue until Kinsarmar's bank accounts have been drained
and the city is being supported by citizen donation alone. Eventually
even that source will be depleted as will the faith of the citizens who
have already began to lose heart. Many dwindle from the realm not
wanting to even face the grim reality that this war presents them on a
daily basis. Please my Lady Duchess, spare your people this. Accept the
offer for your conditional surrender. If you do not, you will be
destroying the very thing you seek to protect.

Martyn Faris, Ephor of Stavenn...

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Artificium, in the year 464 AD.
