Well, well. The things people decide on their own, without even talking
to the accused. I must say, I'm impressed you had the mental capacity to
spell 'traitor'.
Now, onto business. I've been hearing many, many stories as to why I'm a
traitor, yet none of them seem to connect or make any sense. First I was
branded a traitor for turning Stavennite, and was shortly after enemied
to Kinsarmar and the Lorekeepers. Now, I won't deny I am now, currently,
a Stavennite, as it's obvious if you were to come check out this awesome
city instead of huddling together in the frozen north for warmth. But, I
was enemied before I was even citizened, so I'm assuming you saw I left
the city, then noticed I was in, or close to, Stavenn, and decided I was
a Stavennite? There's little justification for my enemy status on that
mark, however I won't argue it too much.
I've also heard stories I was enemied for selling my smithing wares to
city enemies, after I left the city. I ask you, O Great City of the
North, where, in the law book -I- wrote, does it mention anything about
it being illegal, for non-citizens, to sell to city enemies? I'm sure
Khandava and Celidon might wanna hear this new law of yours, as it might
interrupt their herb flow to Stavenn, and the number of allies you
possess, if they're getting enemied for selling herbs and refills to
Stavennites.
I've heard some other stories, but those were the main two I wanted to
go over ...
Now, onto Ethelbert in particular. Just a few things I'd like to say to
you. I had served as a Lorekeeper of Kinsarmar, for 20 years before you
even joined. I left of my own free will. Not because I secretly hated
Kinsarmar. Not because I didn't like how the guild was changing. I
didn't leave any hateful posts to the city when I left, infact I left
quite peacefully, and even tried to maintain some friendship with my
allies. Yet, dispite all that, I was branded a traitor, before I had
even done anything. Your Duchess even snubbed me when I tried to speak
with her, which led to this public post, since I'm not going to talk to
her through someone else.
To counter your claims that the Lorekeepers who left would either ignore
the Code, or pick apart diffrent sections. I consider your claims
invalid, as I had always, and still, live by the whole Code. I defend my
home. My home is Stavenn.
