It is in our hubris to be reminded that necromancy and "noctu" contain
the potential for eternal life, yet they are also the disciplines most
likely to get one killed. An ancient necromancer is quite the rare find,
and deserving of the utmost respect. You have achieved what countless
others have died attempting, eternal manifestation in this world. I
salute you, the Empire of Stavenn salutes you. We humbly ask that you
share a fraction of your knowledge with us.

We do not ask you to leave Ithaqua for Stavenn, though you would of
course be welcome if you decided to move. We are not that audacious. Nor
do we ask you to tell us your secrets of agelessness. The simple truth
is, that we practice the worship of Thanatos and His power as one of our
disciplines, yet we have no record of the first necromancers or even the
first Stavennites to practice necromancy. We have long been curious, and
your arrival in the public eye has made us even more curious. We want
your knowledge, badly, and would pay you handsomely for it in any way
you can imagine.

In closing, it has long been my belief that "necromancy" is a very broad
field that involves both magickal and non-magickal techniques, and has
most likely been practiced since before the awakening. Stavenn has long
bent demons to our will, as well as magick, and as such our version of
necromancy involves magick and demons as well as the divine power of
death. I write this simply to inform you so that there is no surprise in
the event your style and technique differs.

That said, I am composing a book on the subject which I hope will be
graced by your feedback or thoughts. You can contact myself or a leader
of Stavenn, or my assistant in this endeavor Garess. Thank you for
reading.

~I Nessaja, Nobleman of the Imperium.

P.S. Please excuse the last name, I am not of the Targaryen but the
scribes have been confused lately.

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Ultio, in the year 466 AD.

Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…
