Sad Comedy

Hail Aetherius

As I am not a member of the Empire and cannot communicate with them
through private means, I have decided to post this publicly to the
citizens of the Empire.

I recently departed the Empire after my baby of a brother through a
hissy fit when he was forced to make a good decision for the good of the
Empire. He sought for the tiniest excuse to have a reason to discipline
me, beyond removing me from Regent. The reason itself wasn't true at
all, and my brother was even told this, but he wanted to feel superior I
guess, so he disfavoured me. I quickly let my feelings known, and left
the Empire.

My reasons for leaving the Empire were I would not be a citizen of the
Empire that had an idiot/wimp as Imperator. This is not to say I will
not defend the Empire to my last breath, or that I do not believe in the
goals of the Empire. I am a Diavlous, loyal to the Empire, whether or
not I am a citizen of it. Some have sought to annoy me with claims of
hypocrisy but they were shown the error in their ways.

Recently, when Matty Faris filled my Ephor position, Valarauko
Vian'Cirith replaced my brother as Imperator. The consequences of these
actions were something I expected and found quite revolting. The
Singularity quickly threatened, Ephors of Stavenn, claiming they were
not following the guild's wishes. When my spineless brother awoke, he
quickly kicked out and enemied Ephors, Galador Avrae Rhodius, and Matty
Faris. I ask you, would a child do anything less?

I have a few problems with the Singularity's actions and threats, to
Ephors of Stavenn, but they aren't my concern. My brother's actions
speak for themselves.

The Singularity, pleaded with my brother to at least unenemy the two
ex-Ephors, and he did this. And we find Stavenn now with a less than
full council, and a grand trial upcoming. Matty Faris, Galador Avrae
Rhodius, Sparda Gazali, find themselves on trial for treason, and if
Matty and Galador are found guilty, the current Imperator will also in
theory be found guilty.

From what I've heard from all those who given reasons for their actions,
I find it a bit humorous and can't do much other than shake my head in
disappointment. I hope that the citizens of the Empire will think long
and hard about where they plan to go, and who to best lead them. And I
will be clear; I think Stavenn would have to search hard to find a
suitable leader.

The Empire is in for some turmoil but I believe it will survive the
storm and come out at least a little wiser for the wear.

2021 and Beyond

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
