Khandava

For months now I've watched Khandava slowly rise from its grave,
becoming more vocal and daring with its future ambitions. I've watched
two particular Arboreals rise into power and make a difference.

However, I've watched these two Arboreals get carried away. I've watched
them defend Nature, and I've watched them defend Civilization. I've
watched those of magickal Khandava rise to defend the city of the sands,
the zealots who persecute the very way of life Khandava believes in. And
naturally, the city of the sands accepts the aide of the very same
people they wish to condemn. It's funny how that works.

As time went on, I watched these two Arboreals start personal wars of
their own, having nothing to do with Nature, just personal spite. Using
the forests that fall under Celidon's graces, they summon their personal
enemies to Khandava, using Nature as a tool, rather than respecting it
for what it is. Using the powers of the desert, they, and others, summon
Antioch's enemies into Khandava to get personal vengeance on their
enemies.

What did Khandava's forest do to be forced to serve personal vengeance?
Surely, the two loudest Arboreals should know. You've pushed, and
pulled, and breached the walls of Stavenn to play your games, and now
fully prove to Aetherius that you consider Nature to be your tool. It
seems that if you truly cared for Nature, you wouldn't have used it as
your saving grace each time someone disagreed with you. You wouldn't
hide behind it and expect the rest of us to halt, while you continue to
take advantage of it.

Talking loud threats and making yourself be heard while you sit in the
graces of your forests are the forests not what they used to be? Do you
consider the forest to be your personal little tool? Apparently, for you
have pushed it upon us, to show us what you feel of it. If Nature is but
a tool to you, why should the rest of us bother respecting it? I do not
see how you expect cities to hold your forests in such high regards when
you yourselves find them to be nothing but a crutch to hide behind. I'm
disgusted to see the Arboreals fall into such a slump, and I find it
funny that two of the youngest faces can be held at fault.

Do not expect me to respect Nature when you yourselves take it for
granted. Neotaku and a few of his brave fellows decided to show us what
Nature really means to them. I have tried hard to keep the peace between
Stavenn and Khandava, and I find it no longer necessary to defend -your-
forest from extermination, when a few of your our own leaders don't
respect it either.

I would like to hear from someone of Khandava who truly does remember
what the forests stand for. If there is one of you left who does not
consider Khandava to be your fun tool to command and abuse, I would like
to hear from you soon. If not, I will assume that Khandava's forest is
indeed a tool to play with, and not a forest to respect. If the very
protectors of her forest take her for granted, and use it as a way to
hide from the consequences they pull onto themselves, I see no reason
for us to think any different.

I do not want to harm your forests any more than you want to see it
done. I'm tired of believing you truly do defend the forests when all
you do is use it against my city, who up to this point has been forced
to respect it as well. When you throw it our faces, mock us for not
doing anything in return, and assume we should continue to respect it,
I've seen quite bluntly that you no longer understand what it means to
be an Arboreal, and take it for granted. You threaten the forests that
aren't even under your control, by using them to aide in your
bloodthirsty ways. I do not hold Celidon responsible for that, as I know
who the true problem is.

I look forward to speaking to one of you soon.

2021 and Beyond

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
