Taven and the family dwelling

Rivaidan, you are stirring up trouble in something that you know very
little about. This is a recent attitude I have seen much as late by some
of those that serve nature, especially from Celidon. But sad to say it,
even from Antioch as well.

Let's start by talking about this horrible, evil building. It is a
family home for a retired merchant. From it's very beginning, the
Council of Khandava was involved in its approval or disapproval. It's
construction wasn't begun until approval had been given, there were
assurances as to what it was to be used for, that no magick was involved
or dark purpose, there were even assurances that something would be done
to help aid in building up nature to offset the area used for building.

You act as if there is not a single building in the councils, this is
far from the truth, there are many buildings, villages, paths, roads.
And I believe that you may even use some of them (shock!).

When it looked like this building was going beyond the original scope of
what was approved, a group from Khandava and I went to look at it and
called the Architect to another meeting to explain himself. The digging
is a for a basement to the home, the clearing out back is for a garden.
We demanded that he provide masks for his workers that were digging, and
he agreed to do so.

Several years after approving the design, under pressure from some
outside sources I believe, and with the building nearly complete,
Khandava decided to rescind its approval, and offered to pay for the
destruction or moving of the home. But during this entire time, they
extended their protection to the workers building it, who are working
for wages and completely innocent no matter what view you take on this
construction.

You make it sound so noble, killing 'sick' workers. Should I applaud you
for your kind act?

I see this attitude of ignorance and aggression by the followers of Lady
Asaka toward Civilization. They seem to equate it with the cities and
the destruction of the forests. Other than the fact that Lord Zanik is
in the pantheon of Antioch (a city), this is not based in reality. They
seem to forget that many of Lord Zanik's founding order members were
forestals, before the forestal guilds themselves made that illegal.

Civilization is related to the word 'civility'. It has to do with the
way people treat each other and work through problems. It has to do with
communication, honesty, hard work, and perserverance. No place in his
tenets is the destruction of nature mentioned. I would dare to say that
the things he stands for many that serve Lady Asaka also aspire to
without realizing it.

In service,

Zealous Angel, Olyn Ashtear

However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…
