your shrine

Written by: Arbiter of Justice, Cassandra Anar, Angel of the Divine Flame
Date: Saturday, February 11th, 2006
Addressed to: La'Rethan Nisha Fel'Amrit, Voice of the Waters

What exactly is at issue here nisha? The shrine to your lady was placed
within our towne without the blessings of our elders, Consuls, or the
previous governors. I never once said we rejected the blessing of water
that allows our towne to thrive. I merely stated that since none of our
people worship your goddess, a shrine to Lady Lianthe serves no purpose
for our people, and that shrines to our gods would.

If you want to make a religious issue of this, You may. However, you can
rant all you wish, but I doubt your ladies realm would be harmed too
much by having a shrine that is never worshipped at removed, especially
since I gave you my assurances the essence lost would be repayed by our
people.

Instead, you show the deepest disrespect to me, our towne, and our gods.
You can cry all you want about how we, a ancient people who predate all
other civilisations are somehow cruel and greedy. You can rant
fruitlessly on these boards about how we reject your lady. The fact is
we do not, we simply wish to worship our gods. That is all I am going to
say on this matter.

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Artificium, in the year 484 AD.
