This day, the Diavlous guild rejects any notion that it is related to
Magick as a whole. Instead, the Diavlous views Necromancy as a power
derived from Lord Thanatos, specifically meant for the Malignists and
Diavlous guilds. This is the power of faith in Death, not the result of
Magick being used by the Diavlous.

On a related note, the Diavlous guild fully accepts their demonic
origins. As the guild was once part of the Noctusari, the study and
control of demons is a critical aspect of the Diavlous guild. Through
our ability to possess the bodies of the fallen with demonic spirits, we
allow those spirits to enter our plane, completely under our control.
Demons who are not controlled and wish to wreak havoc and chaos across
Aetherious will be slain. Only through the strict control of the flow of
demonic entities into Aetherious can the Demonic rifts be monitored and
another demonic incursion prevented.
