Unfortunately

Written by: Duke Mathiu Kith'Vahni, the Spring Zephyr
Date: Tuesday, July 4th, 2006
Addressed to: Lady Rosalina Sylvaleaf

Rosalina,
Unfortunately, all the apologies in the world will not undo what you
did. Stavennites now run free with etchings of all kinds. These weapons
will not simply vanish over the words "I'm sorry." You lied to the city,
your friends, your guildmates, to me, if not directly.
I well remember why Lorccan was after you. It was for poaching horses
from Aherindale. No one would assist you because you were essentially
thieving from them, a practice that you promised you would cease. Since
he continued to assail you, I gather that you lied to me about that as.
You are a traitor to the city in the highest, and will find no
compassion from me. Perhaps after I have reaped your life from you, as
is my right as one of the many insulted, I will be inclined to leave you
alone. I make no promises for the rest of my city.
Should I find any more etchings in the hands of Stavennites you will
find that Lorccan's campaign against you was nothing more than a prelude
for the true agony and suffering to come. Should you do as you say, and
provide nothing, take the angered responses of those you betrayed until
it has run its course, then you will eventually be left alone.
Regardless, the walls of Kinsaramr are forever closed to you. We cannot
trust you.
Sincerely,
Mathiu Kith'Vahni

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Tenebrae, in the year 496 AD.

Onward to 2021
