Strength

Written by: Lord Ashel Savet, the Brilliant Disaster

The world is governed by a simple system - the strong survive, the weak
perish. On this point I find myself in agreement with my distant, if not
completely mad, cousins in Ithaqua. The question - and certainly, the
difference - lies in the perception of strength. For what is it?
Physical? Mental? The power in the hand guiding the blade, or the blade
itself? To each person their strength is something different, something
they have cultivated through years, decades, even centuries of work.

But a child has no strength to assess, and so they can only be judged by
the strength of their stock. And while miracles have been performed
before, certainly, the child of failures tends to be a failure as well.
Purging the world of such an abomination is certainly more useful than
wasting valuable resources on the continued growth of something that
shall prove ultimately useless.

So while I know little of your situation, care little of the people
involved, and find the whole thing relatively amusing, know this - there
is no such thing as innocence, for we are all guilty of life, and to
simply appeal to people by evoking images of children is an act of
desperation and foolishness.
