The Future of the Bards

Hail Aetherius, the Lorekeepers would like to announce our views on some
disheartening information we've recently received about the future of
the Bards' guild, and so more directly:

Hail, Bards.

It has been brought to the attention of the Lorekeepers that there is a
current election for the Soul of Music underway. This election could
very easily break our once strong bonds, if the inappropriate person is
selected.

Some of you have heard rumors, some of you think that the Lorekeepers
are being heartless and shallow; however, the simple truth is that we
are protective. We protect Kinsarmar, we protect our citizens and
guildmates, and with the same ferocity we will protect our skills.

There is one among you who didn't go through proper channels of
communication, who sought our skills from an enemy of Kinsarmar and an
enemy of the Lorekeepers, at the time, after being denied while we were
still in discussions over whether or not to allow anyone besides
Kinsarmarians to learn our skills.

We've tried to make peace with the fact that Pyrusticia took what was
ours from a city enemy, and find solace in his promise to not teach
others and to simply help his guildmates along with smithing or runelore
needs, but we cannot.

With respect to your decision making skills, and hopefully as a guild
you can consider this a bit of extra information and nothing more, the
Council of the Lorekeepers has agreed that we will not smith for the
Bards if Pyrusticia is leading.

A Soul of Music with that sort of past cannot be overlooked, and while
we regret that our ties might have to suffer, we will not see him as an
ally while he keeps our stolen skills as his own. If he is appointed, he
will be seen as an insult to our long history, and to each and every
Lorekeeper.

This will be effective if Pyrusticia is appointed as the Soul of Music,
if he isn't... consider the old trade agreements in full form, unless
your new Soul of Music would like to discuss them for changes.

In honour and faith,
General Kaethi Kith'Vahni, Artisan of Lore and Steel

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
