Allow me to interrupt the usual stream of petty insults, snipes, and
general insipidness for a bit of actual business.

Some of you may be aware of the reputation of the Noctusari. We do
promote scholarship, research, and study, albeit not quite so widely as
in older days. It is for this reason that the Noctusari have extended
the following bounty.

We seek knowledge. More precisely, we seek to expand that knowledge. If
you can provide to myself or one of my Secretaries a work - be it tome,
book, journal, or a simple scroll - that we find useful and that we do
not currently possess, you shall be granted a bounty of seven thousand
five hundred sovereigns for that work. Should the work be of exceeding
quality, originality, or usefulness, that number may be higher. If you
are unsure about the eligibility of any particular work, inquire with
myself or one of my Secretaries before committing yourself to a
potentially profitless course.

Let it not be said that we are misers of such things. Works we deem
beneficial for the general public will be added to the collection of the
Great Library of Caanae for all to peruse. If you should have any
further questions about this matter, again, contact myself or one of my
Secretaries.
