Ideals, memories, and ironies

Written by: Lord Juran Acerbus

That's funny. I remember an impetuous child that went out of her way to
just barely skirt the edge of the law, and sometimes just openly break
it. I remember an idealist that felt that, because she worked hard, the
criticisms she leveled against her fellows somehow did not apply to her.
I remember hypocrisies, decrees for special treatment, and demands for
rewards and favors.

I also remember hours spent passing on wisdom, and instructing in the
ways of leadership. What I didn't remember, yet now realize, is that all
that time was wasted.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Bellum, in the year 592 AD.
