Greetings,

We, the Stormweavers, have been hibernating for some time now. Faced with dwindling membership, lack of activities and a lack of purpose, we face slow death. However, this is changing.


We are re-positioning ourselves as a research and mercenary guild with an
affinity towards magick and the quest of advancing knowledge within our ranks.



How will this work?
Our traditional secretary positions will be replaced by something we will call
Sponsors. Sponsors will be members of the Stormweavers who have ideas, theories
or tasks that will enable us to learn more. Each Sponsor may request the help
of members to achieve certain projects. Each project will be curated by the
Guildmaster and potentially other sponsors. Each project may run for 2-5 years
after which it will be assessed for success. After this new projects may be
invited.

Projects
Once the project has been approved, members may work with Sponsors on projects.
Each project will have a goal, tasks and certain rewards. Rewards maybe guild
ranks, monetary or in the form of other rewards. Once the project is complete,
new projects may be invited and Sponsors will be replaced



Sponsors
Sponsors must be magickers in good standing with the Stormweavers and Celidon.
As this time, only Aspects may become Sponsors. You will have to show an
outline of your project, the objective, the method, time frame and reward you
are proposing. The sponsor will benefit by having collaborators and guidance
from the guild as well as gain experience in leadership. Sponsors will be
replaced after their time period is complete or if the project reaches a
conclusion. This will ensure people get adequate chance to work on different
projects.

Associates
Members of the guild working with Sponsors will drive projects forward. This is a two-way street where your suggestions, goals are as important as the Sponsor's initial outlay. This role is perhaps more important since you are the reason the projects will succeed or fail. To incentivize collaboration, there will be rewards from the guild for participation and success. Associates may become Sponsors after successful work on a few projects even if they are not Aspects. This shows commitment and willingness to work with others.

Guild Projects
In addition to custom projects, the guild will run projects of its own. These
will be open for period of time and will be like guild tasks of old. Further,
there may be ad hoc projects undertaken based on the needs of our circle, our
guild and our council.
