truth

I made laws to ensure that those without a sense of cause, genocide is
not a cause, did not make it into leadership again. The system was
designed to allow only the finest leaders of the Empire to be able to
contest. The result would prove that only the most loyal, intelligent
and effective leaders would be able to stage and election, resulting in
the best of the bunch winning. Its success can be proven in the election
of Sparda Gazali to the Ephor Council.

The laws regarding behavior set forth rules which would established and
Imperial decorum. Following in the refinement and aristrocratic
histories of the Ephor Council and a vast majority of its citizens, it
was decided by three ephors that Imperial citizens would be mature,
appear intelligent and act with dignity in all aspects of their lives.
Given the military background of the Empire, you could note that
discipline and respect were cornerstones in Stavenn's ascent to
greatness, give or take the fifty years between the ancient and today.
The fact that you and yours complained about being required to act like
honourable, distinguished adults of the greatest Empire the world has
ever seen does in fact speak volumes about your characters.

You make the mistake of assuming I am shocked, hurt or staggered by the
cowardly pursuits of the band of children who staged a coup. The only
problem is this has been planned for since my ascension to Ephor. I knew
the moment I began my long journey into the Imperial government of
Stavenn that I would not sit atop for long, the world was most simply,
not ready for it. Where I used truth, passion and intellect to build my
ideals my opponents used deceit, envy and ignorance. In this time, the
hasty tool of darkness and cowardice provides a more instant
gratification and a quick hollow success, of which my work cannot match.
Was I beaten? Quite possibly, but that is for time and fate to tell.

The mission I was given in that vision so long ago, was to give the
world a glimpse, they received it. But as the dream it was, the world
must once again awake to its cruel reality. The sense of pride and
accomplishment, once more encouraged by the words of my peers and my
visions, will please me forever. I have accomplished my mission and once
again move back into the quagmire I call a home.
