Dearest Mahanaxar,
Since you decided to post an incredibly long tale of woe and betrayal, I
decided I'd write a few short things to perhaps aide you in your
understanding of the city you apparently never understood.
Antioch is not a city of hypocrites. It is a city of three groups. The
apathetic, the moderates, and the zealots. The zealots say one thing,
the apathetic do the exact opposite, and the moderates shake their heads
in disgust. I love Antioch despite, but I do not refuse to acknowledge
the splits in the city, because then I would be a hypocrite. Obviously
you missed the diversity and choose to instead judge us simply because
we have opposing forces at work. Its life, its politics, open your eyes,
pick a side and make of your life what you will.
Also, if you are going to make claims of not helping the 'enemy', it
would probably further your case if you weren't engaged to the 'enemy'
refered to. Otherwise your point becomes a rather amusing case of 'well
its just a coincidence, we just got along so well the day after we
decided to get hitched! yeehaw!'
Diversity is the spice of life. Our young ones will live and grow and
produce their OWN opinions of things BECAUSE of the diversity of
Antioch. They will not be brainless nitwits who follow after the next
hulk with the biggest sword, or follow that individual which provides
them the most amusement. I cherish the diversity even if I don't agree
with the views. If nothing else it gives us something to talk about.
I remember the day you cried for assistance on CT, and then pouted and
went ctoff because no one would come help you. I should correct that, no
one could, the city at the time was populated with a collective of
citizens almost all of whom were under the age of 23. Should we grab our
trusty shortswords and run in a gaggle to save the big bad artie man
from places where MANY MANY MANY Antiochians, young and old, have fallen
pray before? And when the time comes that one of our own are trapped and
there are individuals capable (IE, they have some idea of where Stavenn
is in relation to Antioch) then we assist them. If there isn't anyone
capable, not much we can do. You may say do anything for your fellow
man, but you must also understand that sometimes you must sacrifice
yourself for the greater good. Had we been older, stronger, more
capable, we would have come after you, but...none of us were able. Why
make a larger mess out of a small one. We expressed concern, then you
ct'd off because no one could help you. So we continued on with our
pleasant youthful amusements.
Please. Save us the cries of unjust treatment, simply move on with your
life. If you've opened your eyes to something you believe is better,
more power to you, some of us will continue to work and struggle for
Antioch. Life is all about how you live it. Go live yours.
