The Warden

Hail Aetherius

I sit in the frozen north, resting from a full day's hunting. The
Wendigo has taught me all he can of the lost skills of the Warden. I
have mastered the theory. It remains to me to master the execution.

Those of you who have sent me messages inquiring as to the guild's
roster, when it will open, what manner of skills do we have, I will tell
you this. I was charged with a sacred trust. The Wendigo gave me a
glaive, and along with it the task of closing the Rift. This, I do not
know how to do, nor could the Wendigo tell me. But time is short. I call
on all who have love for Aetherius to make ready. Soon, we will see the
Rift shut and sealed, the witchling things from beyond banished.

Or we will see the first of the modern Wardens become the last.

I have been given a great burden and a great honor. I hope I will be up
to the weight of them both. I call on Aetherius to aid me. Those who
summon demons, your wisdom is needed. Those who fight them, yours no
less so. Those who care not what the demons do, I pray to the Lady that
your wife, your mother, your daughter, never fall to the hands of the
foul things.

Harker

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Halitus, in the year 434 AD.

Onward to 2021
