2.8.1 CONFIG WHOCOLOURS
Who Colours
Who colours allows you to configure the colour and text displayed to you in the standard who lists (who, qw, mwho). This replaces the config colour who entries previously used.
To get started, try CONFIG WHOCOLOUR or CONFIG WC for short. You should see something like this:
Your who list colours will be chosen in the following order:
1st: Special characters (special):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Admins 15 0 Clotho, Saiph, Miana
Guides 11 0 Aesir, Rei, Aruelan
Demons 1 0 Xarvillaxix, Illy, Vasharr
2nd: Entities (entity):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unaffiliated Entities 6 0 Liesel, Hei, Liesel
Anti-Magick Entities 10 0 Anei, Shaun, Jeremy
Magick Entities 12 0 Sharra, Janella, Risca
Demonic Entities 9 0 Mikah, Cardilya, Fedwren
Horde Entities 9 0 Eusto, Rynin, Celebrimbor
3rd: Allies or entities (allyenemy):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enemies 7 0 Menoch, Efflyr, Vels
Allies 147 0 Ulutse, Epiphany, Neresh
4th: Marked people (marked):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marked 7 0 Dwyn, Zyred, Suruken
5th: Heroes (hero):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arena Heroes 10 0 Talou, Elreena*, Almandel
6th: Champions (champion):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Leechwood Champions 7 0 Wolfie, Marrok, Ferrus
Champions 7 0 Lylt, Yssa, Sybella
Anything not matched by the above will be shown in unadorned white.
Use CONFIG WC PREF to manage the order of preferences.
Use CONFIG WC LIST to list categories and entries available.
Use CONFIG WC SET to manage the color settings.
This screen is a listing of your current category preferences and settings within those categories. This is how it works. Say for instance you were getting a colour for Dec, who is both an unaffiliated entity and on your allies list. First the system would check to see if Dec was one of your set special characters. As he is not an admin, guide, or demon, the first check wouldn't return anything, so the system would continue. The second check would match on unaffiliated entity and so the system would return a colour of 6, 0. Note that even though Dec is also an ally, the system stops when it reaches its first match, so it would return the unaffiliated entity colour instead.
Say, however, that you wanted allies and enemies to take priority over entity type. You can do this with CONFIG WC PREF. There are two commands in CONFIG WC PREF: CONFIG WC PREF LIST, which shows your current preferences, and CONFIG WC PREF SET <category> <preference>. Here's what is displayed when we do CONFIG WC PREF LIST:
Your who colour category preference is:
[ 1] special
[ 2] entity
[ 3] allyenemy
[ 4] marked
[ 5] hero
[ 6] champion
We can see that "entity" has a higher preference that allyenemy. To switch that around, we simply do CONFIG WC PREF SET allyenemy 2. This returns
Done.
Your new who colour category preference is:
[ 1] special
[ 2] allyenemy
[ 3] entity
[ 4] marked
[ 5] hero
[ 6] champion
which shows that allyenemy is now a higher preference that entity. So Dec, who is both an ally and an entity, will now show up with the ally colour rather than the typical entity colour.
As another example, if we didn't want to see "champion" as different, we can remove that color. Simply do CONFIG WC champion 0. Setting to 0 erases the category.
A question you may be asking yourself at this point is how do I know what different types of categories there are? Simple. Use CONFIG WC LIST CATEGORIES. This shows
Available categories:
'person' -- Individuals
'allyenemy' -- Allies and enemies
'marked' -- Marked Persons
'hero' -- Arena Heroes
'entity' -- Entities
'special' -- Special personas (e.g. Guides)
'circle' -- Circle members
'city' -- City members
'profession' -- Profession members
'guild' -- Guild members
'sect' -- Sect members
'org' -- Misc org members
'champion' -- Champions
which includes all the categories you may include. Now what about if you wanted to know all the things that made up a certain category, such as the 'special' category. Enter CONFIG WC LIST ENTRIES special to get:
Category special: 'admins', 'guides', and 'demons' may be entries.
The same can be done for each category to find out more about it.
Having set our preferences for categories and preferences, the next step is to set the actual items to colour. Here again are our current settings:
Your who list colours will be chosen in the following order:
1st: Special characters (special):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marked 7 0 Aki, Sendarth, Roxy
5th: Heroes (hero):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arena Heroes 10 0 Indica, Ninian*, Chesira
Anything not matched by the above will be shown in unadorned white.
Use CONFIG WC PREF to manage the order of preferences.
Use CONFIG WC LIST to list categories and entries available.
Use CONFIG WC SET to manage the color settings.
Now say that we didn't care about distinguishing allies, but still cared about enemies. We can remove allies from the list, while keeping enemies by use CONFIG WC SET DELETE allyenemy allies. This results in the following:
Your who list colours will be chosen in the following order:
1st: Special characters (special):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Admins 15 0 Seratoga, Serith, Miichelle
Guides 11 0 Brakdern, Sommnus, Amarie

5th: Heroes (hero):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arena Heroes 10 0 Zeba, Mayanna*, Kazumi
Anything not matched by the above will be shown in unadorned white.
Use CONFIG WC PREF to manage the order of preferences.
Use CONFIG WC LIST to list categories and entries available.
Use CONFIG WC SET to manage the color settings.
Now, for our continued Dec example, Dec is an ally, but we've indicated that we don't care about allies, so the system continues to the next category, entities. As a result, even though Dec is an ally, he will show up as an unaffiliated entity, which is color 6, 0.
Say, however, that we didn't like the color 6, 0 for unaffiliated entities, and wanted to give them a bold cyan colour (colour 14). We would enter CONFIG WC SET COLOUR entity unaffiliated boldcyan. This changes our setting to:
Your who list colours will be chosen in the following order:
1st: Special characters (special):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Admins 15 0 Reznok, Patryck, Myfanwe
Guides 11 0 Lisim, Risca, Velion
Demons 1 0 Sapp, Dinosus, Kasdeya
2nd: Allies or entities (allyenemy):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enemies 7 0 Winru, Kasdeya, Marabelle
3rd: Entities (entity):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anti-Magick Entities 10 0 Sverrir, Luodo, Demion
Magick Entities 12 0 Ohm, Wysrias, Callisto
Demonic Entities 9 0 Ayanna, Kaluran, Sroath
Horde Entities 9 0 Xeron, Raedrin, Marianna
Unaffiliated Entities 14 0 Kirlynn, Monte, Bailey
4th: Marked people (marked):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marked 7 0 Sashi, Anita, Aakrin
5th: Heroes (hero):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arena Heroes 10 0 Ganza, Robynn*, Sedar
Anything not matched by the above will be shown in unadorned white.
And Dec shows up as boldcyan (14) on who.
You may have noticed that for the hero category, the Arena Heroes entry has a '*' after the name. This is another new feature where you may display extra text before and after entries. You can add a prefix and a suffix before and after each name in a category. For example, let's say we really wanted our enemies to stand out, so we decide to surround them with '@'. We would entere 'CONFIG WC SET PREFIX allyenemy enemies @' and then 'CONFIG WC SET SUFFIX allyenemy enemies @'. Now when you see your preferences, you see that:
Your who list colours will be chosen in the following order:
1st: Special characters (special):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Admins 15 0 Cassiopeia, Roxanna, Reven
Guides 11 0 Camenae, Zhoe, Vipin
Demons 1 0 Siv, Andorus, Calcifer
2nd: Allies or entities (allyenemy):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enemies 7 0 Zaimael, @Azhar@, Jadyn
3rd: Entities (entity):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anti-Magick Entities 10 0 Laerten, Sharra, Alcyone
Magick Entities 12 0 Kalina, Lathis, Redoc
Demonic Entities 9 0 Arymus, Anei, Leighanna
Horde Entities 9 0 Eilde, Rynin, Niar
Unaffiliated Entities 14 0 Esmyrsia, Janus, Daemynia
4th: Marked people (marked):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marked 7 0 Lukos, Mael, Atropos
5th: Heroes (hero):
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arena Heroes 10 0 Tikal, Dratz*, Chronus
Anything not matched by the above will be shown in unadorned white.
Azhar is the above is shown as @Azhar@. This can be used also to set any number of things. If, for example, you wanted demonic enties to show up like Myfanwe(evil) you could do CONFIG WC SET SUFFIX entity demonic (evil).
We encourage you to try the system out. If there are categories that you would like to see added, please suggest them using the IDEA command. Note that we will not likely be including categories of things that you wouldn't normally have access to, or need to go somewhere special to find out. For example, you can't use it to find out the members of a secret clan.
