Paili, the beloved gypsy child of the Empire was recently sacrificed in
order to fulfill a pact made by the Alcine family and some nobility of
Stavenn. On this day, during a common summoning that was conducted by a
young man named Kar, assisted by Vathael, Ryant and Mazrix. During their
dealings with the demons they sought, the body of the dead child began
to stir. A sacred shrine of the Red Maiden began to smoke, and a wisp of
this sacred flame emerged from the structure and flowed over the body of
the child. Within moments, the girl was awake and very confused. She had
no memory at first of what was done to her, nor did she know her very
soul had been compromised. As she questioned Vathael and the others, she
slowly came to remember. Swearing vengeance upon the one Paili thought
her friend, Esher. The young girl returned to her usual activities,
proclaiming that she will never be duped by false friends or promises.
